Windows 10: Screenshots folder missing

Understand the "default" location of where screenshots are to go is:


[COLOR=rgba61, 61, 61, 1]C:\Users\your_name\Pictures\Screenshots[/COLOR]


[COLOR=rgba61, 61, 61, 1]There is no folder at that location. I do not recall ever having removed or moved this folder or any reason to have done so.[/COLOR]


[COLOR=rgba61, 61, 61, 1]When taking a screenshot is this going somewhere?...Snipping tool will not work to capture image since the keystrokes necessary to screenshot close the dropdown I am trying to capture an image of...[/COLOR]

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Open File Explorer and click on This PC in the left navigation pane.
• Navigate to the location: C:\Users\<Username>\Pictures\Screenshots.
• Right click on the Screenshots folder and select Properties.
• Click on the Location tab in the Properties Window.
• Change the location to the desired location and click on Move.

Pinned & Recent Folder Missing From Explorer in Start

• Click on View and then Options.
• Choose Folder and search options.
• Under General Tab and under Privacy, make sure to place a check mark on Show recently used files and recently used folder in Quick access.

Screenshot folder is missing in Pictures

Dear reader,

Screenshots folder is missing and I can't find my sprint screen shots.

I tired editing registry as well but nothing has changed. Please help urgently.
