Windows 10: Screen is automatically reverting to Extended Display

When i try changing my projector screen to Duplicate Display it automatically reverts to extended display. It was working fine yesterday. There was no recent driver updates. Even if there was, i checked everything and it's all up to date. I restarted my laptop. I unplugged the HDMI cord and plugged it back in again. I literally have tried everything. What's going on?

Whenever the computer goes to sleep, the display reverts back to a single monitor.

then i have to select stay on one, apply changes, then select extend these displays and apply changes.

My cables are tight

My display drivers are up to date

Any suggestion???

• Were you able to get an audio on your extended display before? Or is this the first time that you will set up an extended display with your computer?
• Aside from the HDMI cable, have you tried using VGA cable instead to connect to your extended display?
• Can you verify if you have any audio on your speakers if you are not connected to the extended display?
