  2. Why does my laptop run "scanning and repairing drive (\\?\Volume...)" for a few seconds during every boot.

The only fix I've found so far is to eliminate the 'boot check' by removing

    BootExecute at:

    \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager

Lots of hits with Google including this one:

Windows 10 Check Disk at every startup since creators update Solved - Windows 10 Forums

But none worked, including this suggestion:

"Press the Windows key+X choose Command Prompt (Admin)

Here type chkntfs /X C: This tells Windows not to check the C: drive on bootup."

Scanning and Repairing Drive on every boot

    Hi,

It can be due to software conflicts. For us to provide a solution suited to your concern, we'd like to know if you're using all the partitions included in the screenshot provided. If not, we suggest deleting it if you won't be using the partitions. We also
suggest contacting the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to perform hard drive diagnostics. Doing a hard drive diagnostics is best handled by them.

Give us an update with the outcome so we can provide further assistance.

Scanning and repairing volume (\\?\Volume...) every startup

    Hi

I ran minitool partition wizard and I found a small partition on my second Hard Drive.(Not the drive with win 10 OS) I deleted it and merged it with the other partion. Seems to me now that the scanning of the volume is gone.

I have found a solution to this problem and posted on my personal website, use a partitioning software in order to view the mentioned volume or cmd.
    https://sites.google.com/site/drmoha...-on-win-10-pro
    Hope that helps.
Actually I did not have this problem earlier on my Flex notebook, maybe because it was early last year, and same my G50.
    Thank you.
