  1. SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD 1TB not showing up on PC

Hi all! Just got a new PC, have been offloading some files from my SanDisk drive. When I put it into the USB-C port at the top of the machine, I don't get a popup prompting me to open. I can find the item under "disk drives" in Device Manager, but nothing shows up in Disk Manager or File Explorer. I know the port works, because I have connected other devices through it, and I know the disc still works because I can connect it to my old MacBook. I have accessed and restarted "Push and Play" on the machine and then restarted the device. As the disc was previously for a Mac, a lot of it is used f

  2. Sandisk Extreme SSD stops being recognized after a while

I followed the steps you laid out and it worked! What I think the disgruntled wrongly assumes that because the SSD drive had failed to become a usable drive (as did mine), and that following your instructions would be an exercise in futility. (Well, she was wrong.)

I left the failed SanDisk Extreme Portable 1 TB SSD plugged into my laptop and executed the commands you shared with us. It took a bit of patience, but I started to see it coming back online. I'm at 98% of the second SFC /Scannow. When its complete, I will reboot and bask in some hard earned victory,

    Cheers,
