    rt640x64.sys blue screen of death BSOD

    Hello,

    I am regurerly getting the BSOD with the error message rt640x64.sys . It happens randomly. If I play games, or watch movies or even when the laptop is idle.

    Here is the link to the minidump files. MiniDump

    I have tried to update all drivers. Did not tinker with hardware in a long time.

    Somebody said it is because of a realtek wireless driver, so I want to the manufacter site, found my laptop model and downloaded from this link

    Realtek RTL8xxx Wireless LAN Drivers from 2019 version 2024.0.10.209 Rev.S.

    That did not solve the problem, as you can see from the minidum files even today I got 2 BSOD with the same message. Does anyone know what should I try next ?

    rt640x64.sys blue screen of death BSOD

    the latest Realtek Ethernet (wired, not wireless) LAN rt640x64.sys driver for Windows 10 available is v10.039.0212.2020 dated 2/12/2020 and it's available from

    Realtek's web site     (may need to enter an email address on the Realtek site to actually download the newest LAN driver there - get 10.039 for Win10).

    uninstall the old one before installing the new version
