Windows 10: RT3290 wifi adapter for windows 11

I just installed Windows 11. And my laptop builtin wifi adapter is not being recognized by windows.Laptop is HP product name: 15-N222NR. The adapter for wifi is Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn. I restarted the laptop multiple times. I went to HP official site but couldn't find the driver for my laptop. It looked like they discontinued the support for my laptop.1. I tried network reset method, that did not work2. I tried services wWAN Auto Config properties to Automatic and that did not work3. I tried to download the driver from HP website but I can't find the driver for win 11. And it looks like HP is

I had the same problem with Ralink RT3290 wifi adapter for almost 2 years. I finally stumbled upon a solution. The following steps fixed the problem for me.

Control Panel... Network and Internet... Network Connections... Wireless Network Connection Status... Properties... Configure... Advanced... Roaming Sensitivity... change to "Highest".

WiFi Adapter question

To be honest, I keep losing my wifi connection and Im almost positive its not due to my internet connection or Router or anything like that. VERY often, everyday, all day it keeps happening. The troubleshooter always resolves it by "reset wifi-adapter" (I believe this is the step it takes that resolves the problem) before it happens again anyways. Its driving me nuts ! Most time when it suddenly goes out (the connection) all the networks that should be in "show available networks" or all but the one I was connected to, disappear. I run the troubleshooter and it ends in resetting the wifi adapter. And it works. 10 minutes later, it happens again. Im trying to pin down the problem here. Thank you for your help.
