Windows 10: RPC Server Unavailable Error

Discus and support RPC Server Unavailable Error in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I am using a total of 6 PCs as Point of Sale devices.     RPC Server Unavailable Error


    I am using a total of 6 PCs as Point of Sale devices. On a daily basis, we face any issue that prevents us from printing out the receipt and some cases even slows down the PC. To fix this, we have to restart the desktop. The error was actually thrown by the POS software but it is more of system exception. The vendors has no idea why this is happening. I have a doubt that it could be any windows update that we did previously. We don't have any spare machine to test out either.Rolling back is the last resort for now. What could be causing this?

    RPC Server Unavailable Error

    How to resolved "RPC Server Unavailable" - and no recover options !?

    I have multiple external USB devices.
    I just added another (a fourth drive) and
    the VSS stopped, causing Disk Management not to report anything about my drives and not allow me to rescan them.

    I restarted VSS and tried to rescan my drives. This resulted in "RPC Server unavailable". The service says it is running, but offers no restart. It also has all recovery options greyed out.

    Cannot add or scan any of my former external drives now.
