Windows 10: Right-click Open with problem

In the last few days, the right-click Open with... function has stopped working for a specific program - MS Paint. All other choices work fine, MS Paint works fine, when I drag the image onto an already open instance of MS Paint it opens fine, but that single possibility of Open with to MS Paint does nothing.I have several times changed the default open action to various graphic programs as I work on a project, and during the course of that, this problem suddenly appeared.

Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...

That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.

If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.

 

Problem in opening files through other softwares

If the issue is with an app which is installed from Store, I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the app and check if that helps. Follow the steps below:

• Right-click on the app in which you are facing the issue and click
  Uninstall.
• Open the Windows Store.
• Search for the app and click on Install.
  
• Check if issue persists.

If the issue is with a software installed, I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the program and check if that helps. Follow the steps below:

• Click on Programs and Features.
• Right click on the software in which you are facing the issue from the list and click on Uninstall.
• Restart the computer after its uninstalled.
• Now reinstall the program and check.

Hi, I tried as you instructed but I had the same problem again. The problem doesn't seem to be with the app. Everything was working fine until I updated to Windows 10. My problem still isn't solved yet. Help me please.
