Windows 10: resetting pc stuck on 1 percent for 4 hours

i have searched this issue and found a lot of people saying to just leave it even if it takes a 18 hours more it will eventually get to an end i figured it could take a while because i have a 14tb hdd but the thing is i literally have zero files on the pc 1.Should i wait more because of the 14 tb 2.If i decided to abort it, whats the worst that could happen other than file loss since that wouldnt matter to me 3.How exactly should i abort it? power off pc? the options i chose while resetting the pc remove everything > local install>change settings checked clean data checked delete f

Resetting my pc and stuck at 99 percent for 6 hours

I have tried to reset my pc and choose to clean my drives. I have started the process yesterday and reached 99 percent in 7 hours and got stuck there. It has been 24 hours since the resetting your pc 99% is shown and no further improvement. I began to
panic and worried about my pc since i donot have another pc to re image and i need my pc urgently. Please reply soon.

Yesterday I performed a pc reset on my brothers pc which is exactly the same specs on my pc. Now i installed win 10 for my brother. He enjoyed it but wanted to have his pc clean with that OS. So i did the pc reset. I was successful. So i thought let me reset
my pc as well. My brothers pc took 3 hours to complete. My pc was stuck at 2% since 12pm yesterday. I left it over night and it was still 2 percent 6 am today. I decided to turn off the pc. Then i turned it back on. A blue page with tiles showing me options.
I chose the reset this pc option and selected to remove everything but keep what the pc brought. (Not factory reset) i dont want to lose my windows 10. But its been 4 hours and its stuck at 1%. Why does it keep doing this? What should i do? Im terribly scared.

Edit: my pc came with windows 8.1 I bought it on brandsmart. Which means i dont have no cd to reinstall windows 8 or 10.. I just want to reset my pc to keep windows 10. Just like i did on my brother's pc.
