Windows 10: Resetting PC Gets Stuck at 74 % and Freezes for Hours

I am having an issue with resetting my laptop. I am using windows 10 Home and my laptop is alienware 17 R5 I bought 2 years ago. Previously, I tried the reset by downloading the windows installation. When the reset began, it stopped and froze when it was still 1% for 6 hours. I turned it off because it took so long and nothing changed. Now I'm trying to do the reset again but by using the windows installation from my laptop. The reset gets stuck at 74% and it completely freezes again for 6 hours. I am doing the reset because my laptop frequently freezes 2 minutes after it shows the desktop. I'm worried because tomorrow I'll have an online test to do. Please give me suggestions, thank you.

Thank you very much for your detailed guides. My desktop DELL-XPS still animate the white points in a small circle with ‘Resetting this PC 74%’ for the last 10 hours. I will wait 1, 2 hours more then start your steps. As I understand the step
1, is it correct that when I power down the desktop, wait ½ hour, turn on again, I still have my Windows 10 as before resetting, or at least I can see and read something? I am afraid that the screen will be black because Windows 10 has been removed from hard
drive through the last 74% resetting.

I have successfully restoring Windows 10 with 'Reset this PC Remove Everything' option on
my ASUS Laptop. It is Intel® Core™ i7-3610QM CPU @ 2.30Hz, 16GB RAM.

Then I do the same on my desktop DELL-XPS Intel® Core™ i7-2nd generation CPU, 16GB RAM. But it stuck at ‘Resetting this PC 74%’ while the white points animate in a small circle. From the reset start to 74% takes only about 30 minutes but I have
wait 4 hours until now. I read

external USB-hardrive (as backup data files). I am also ready to wait the next 24 hours. DELL-XPS is my master PC which has worked perfectly before resetting. I have just wish to totally remove over 40 software and all files by reset Windows 10, and install
fewer to make the PC works even better. What happen if I after a day force DELL-XPS to shut down by hold on the power button, if it still stuck at 74%? Can I do something when I open it again?

 

PC Reset taking almost 24 hours and is stuck at 74%

I decided to do a reset and followed the instructions, it took almost 6+ hours to reach 74%, I left it over night (13 hours later) and it is still at 74%. What can I do??? By the way, was using Windows 10.
