Windows 10: requires parent permission despite my account age

My account's registered age is 3/4/97 but whenever I try to download something on Microsoft store it says "Ask parent permission". There is no parent connected to my account. What can I do?

Firefox and Chrome require parents' permission to use, despite me not being a child account

Hi, I have a strange problem. My account used to be a child account of my father's, although no parental restrictions were applied. Since turning 18, my account was removed from his. However, when I attempt to launch specifically Firefox or Chrome (Not any
other browsers or programs) it requires me to "email my parents for permission", and when I click the button, it gives me an error (no code, just "something went wrong"), presumably because I have no registered parent to get the email of.

Microsoft Support suggested I create a local user and just use that, but as this is a workstation computer, that isn't exactly, practical.

What is wrong and how do I fix it? Thanks.

If your account is an adult account and your age is accurate but if you are still getting the popup for permission, I suggest you to follow the article provided in the previous post and

verify your age for parental consent.

My personal account asks for parental permission, I login with my account as instructed and it loops back to parent approval every time.

Many thanks for your help. I found this that solved it:

Method One:

Step 1 Select "Learn more about parent/guardian permission" on the Require Parental Consent screen.

Step 2 Select "Update Account Information"

Step 3 Enter the correct date of birth

Method Two:

Step 1 Recreate a Microsoft account (adult account) with your identifying information.

Step 2 Select "I am not a parent or guardian"

Step 3 Modify the identity information of the current account through the newly created adult account.

What was concerning, I had no birthday inserted, so it forced to put it in and I am concerned for security.

I am now operating ok.
