  2. I am not able to use finger gestures on my touchpad.

    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

If you're facing issues with touchpad gestures on your Lenovo laptop running Windows 11, and basic troubleshooting steps like updating, uninstalling, and reinstalling drivers haven't resolved the issue, here are some additional steps you can try:

    1. Check Touchpad Settings in Windows 11

    • Open Settings.
    • Navigate to Bluetooth & devices: Click on Bluetooth & devices on the left sidebar.
    • Touchpad Settings: Click on Touchpad. Here, ensure that all the gesture options you wish to use are enabled. Windows 11 offers customization for three and four-finger gestures.
    2. Use Lenovo Vantage

Lenovo laptops often come with a software called Lenovo Vantage (or Lenovo System Update for some models) which is designed to manage drivers and BIOS updates specifically for Lenovo devices.

    • Download and Install Lenovo Vantage: If you don't have it already, download it from the Microsoft Store.
    • Run System Update: Open Lenovo Vantage and check for system updates, including BIOS, firmware, and drivers specifically tailored for your device.
    • Disclaimer: Microsoft provides no assurances and/or warranties, implied or otherwise, and is not responsible for the information you receive from the third-party linked sites or any support related to technology.

If you are going to modify BIOS Settings, please back up all your personal files first to ensure you do not lose data.
    3. Roll Back Touchpad Driver

If the issue started after a recent driver update, rolling back to a previous driver version might help.

    • Device Manager: Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
    • Touchpad Driver: Navigate to "Mice and other pointing devices," find your touchpad (it might be listed as an HID-compliant mouse or something similar), right-click it, and select Properties.
    • Driver Tab: Go to the Driver tab and see if the Roll Back Driver button is available. If it is, click it and follow the prompts.
    4. Check for Windows Updates

    • Open the Settings.
    • Windows Update: Select Windows Update from the left sidebar and click on Check for updates. Make sure all available updates are installed.
    5. Adjust Advanced Settings via Control Panel

    • Control Panel: Open Control Panel (you can search for it in the Start menu).
    • Mouse Settings: Go to Hardware and Sound > Mouse (under Devices and Printers). This opens the Mouse Properties window.
    • Device Settings or Touchpad Tab: Look for a tab related to your touchpad, which might be named after the touchpad manufacturer (e.g., Synaptics, ELAN). Inside, you might find additional settings or the ability to restore defaults.
    6. Check for Hardware Issues

If none of the software solutions work, there might be a hardware issue with the touchpad.

    7. Contact Lenovo Support

If the problem persists, contacting Lenovo support would be the next best step. They can provide more specific guidance based on your laptop model and warranty status.

While troubleshooting, it's crucial to proceed cautiously, especially when dealing with BIOS updates or system settings, to avoid unintentional system issues.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

    Best regards
