  1. Removing Macrium Reflect Recovery option at Start-up

Hi thereAcquired a new PC some weeks ago and have just successfully reset my old Windows 10 PC for onward sale or donation at some point in the near future.During the reset operation I requested a hard disc clean and a fresh install of Windows 10.However when I start up the new installation I still get a prompt to select whether I proceed with Windows 10 or opt for the Macrium Reflect Recovery environment. I'm guessing this is because I was previously using Macrium Reflect and had created a USB with a bootable recovery capability. The default is to continue into Windows 10 if you do nothing b

Macrium Reflect Free Version Being Retired

Folks here often recommend the free version of Macrium Reflect as an alternative to Windows' own backup options. Unfortunately, the free version is going away, and there will be no further feature updates. Security updates will continue until January 1, 2024, however. The free software license won't be affected, and it can be used "in perpetuity. If you want it, get it now.

Restoring Windows 10 Image using Macrium Reflect

In addition to the above. Here's my suggestion in step by step.
I assume you have Macrium Installed in your current HD and already made a backup copy.
    1. Connect your new HD via USB port and boot up.
    2. Run Macrium, click on Restore tab then select the Backup Image that you made to restore
    3. click on "select a different target disk" then select your new HD as destination

    4. Proceed to restore then Shutdown and disconnect the old HD and replace with the new HD
    5. Boot up with your new HD.
