Windows 10: Remote Desktop Connection stuck on "configuring remote session" on Windows 11 only

Hi,I'm having an issue where Remote Desktop Connection is stuck on the message "Configuring remote session." I have not had this issue with this remote desktop on Windows 10 or running Microsoft Remote Desktop on MacOS, so I'm not sure what the issue in Windows 11 could be. I tried to open this same desktop using Microsoft Remote Desktop, but am kicked out with an error saying that I have initiated a remote connection elsewhere even though this is not the case.My IT department seems to suggest that RDC just won't work with Windows 11, but I have a hard time believing that is the case since R

Remote Desktop - Screen resolution in remote session

I have connected to a remote desktop session and the windows in the remote session are all too small for me to see.

I have edited the remote desktop connection settings and cannot seem to make anything larger.

I am using a new Dell Inspiron Laptop which has a very high screen resolution 3840 x 2160

Any suggestions appreciated

Okay guys need some help here before going crazy...
I am trying to setup a remote desktop connection and see exactly what the logged on user is looking at with out going through Windows Remote Desktop.

Since its local network I don't have any password or want to setup a password.

Any suggestions are appreciated

 

Remote Desktop Color Depth - how to adjust

Hi,

I'm attempting to increase the color depth of a remote connection but not getting anywhere.
Google offers two suggestions:

1) On the RD Session Host server, open Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration. To open Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration, click Start, point to Administrative Tools, point to Remote Desktop Services, and then click Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration.

But after I get to "Administrative Tools" there is no "Remote Desktop Services" to be found.

2.This Group Policy setting is located in Computer Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Remote Desktop Services\Remote Desktop Session Host\Remote Session Environment

But I can't find where this is or how to get to it.
