Windows 10: Remote Desktop Connection stuck at "Local session manager" on OS windows Server 2012 R2

Hi All,After August 2023 updates I'm unable to launch file explore and said no permission granted. after i uninstall august windows update i'm able to launch. just to check is there any hot fix for this?

Windows 10 Remote Desktop App can't connect to Windows 2012 Server - but RDP can!

I can connect to a remote Server 2012 R2 using RDP.

When I try and use the Windows 10 Remote Desktop app the connection always fails with 'Could't Connect'.

Windoes 10 App can connect sucesfully to my local server and two other remote servers running Windows Server 2019 - so it appears to be Server 2012 R2 releated.

 

Windows Server 2012 R2 connection refused

For two years no problem connecting to a sql server 2012 R2 using a connection string from my local development computer through Visual Studio. Now on August 30, 2018 it stopped working. The sql server is at a remote site and we connect using the IP
address in the connection string. I can connect using normal browser and web URL login from any desktop computer. It is only using Visual Studio that doesn't connect. Any ideas?

Are the computers on domain?

Do the computers boot to desktop or get stuck at
"Waiting for Local Session Manager" screen?

Local Session Manager (LSM) is a Win32 service, which starts automatically when the operating system starts. It is a core Windows Service that manages local user sessions. Stopping or disabling this service
will result in system instability.

Local Session Manager cannot be started if the following services are disabled, deleted or working improperly.

DCOM Server Process Launcher.

Remote Procedure Call (RPC).

RPC Endpoint Mapper.
