Windows 10: Remote desktop CAL after migration

Hello,My customer has 4 hosts sessions 2008r22012r220162019He has 1 license server for each OS.We are installing a new license server 2025 with only 2025 CAL and configure it as license server for each host sessionIf a computer never connect to the host session, he gest a new 2025 CAL and I can see it on the licence manager.However if it's an existing computer and had already connected to an host session, he doesn't get a new 2025CAL to connect but connection is successull.Why does this work ? When does this computer get a 2025CAL from this new server ?Thanks

RDS CAL requirement of Remote Desktop without RDS installed

Is RDS CAL required for Windows 10 Server and Windows Server 2016 remote desktop without RDS installed?

It basically means that just switch on remote desktop in system settings without turning on RDS role and use for non-administrative purposes.

Examples including a personal user wanting to run MATLAB on cloud.

1. Are you using the Microsoft remote desktop app?
   

If you are using the Microsoft remote desktop app downloaded from
Microsoft store then, I suggest you to follow the steps to
fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store.



If the issue still persists with the Microsoft remote desktop app, then you can contact the support team by going to the

link and scrolling down to the bottom and clicking on
Microsoft remote desktop support under the Publisher info.



However, if you are using the Remote desktop connection, which comes pre-installed with Windows 10, then I suggest you to please post your question in the
TechNet forum.
