    My VM team has run into a wall remediating a vulnerability for Windows Speculative Execution Configuration Check. After applying the fix to the registry to correct, we found that the registry entries kept reverting after the server reboots. We validated that there's no GPO in place causing the reversion. We tried going through Powershell instead of the GUI to make the change, per suggestion from an article in the Tenable community https://community.tenable.com/s/question/0D53a00007kEGQXCA4/windows-speculative-execution-configuration-check. Is there a known other cause of the reversion o

    explorer.exe executable check-ups

    O should of dig some other entries then Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer in the Group Policies It seems one way to just bypass it:

    User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Attachment Manager > Add .EXE (and all the executables in general) to "Inclusion list for moderate risk file types"

    does the trick pretty nicely..

    I suggest you to try the below steps and check if you are able to connect to internet.

    Step 1: Perform a Winsock Reset


    • Open the Windows Start Screen or
      Start Menu and type cmd in the search box.

    • Right-click Command Prompt or
      cmd in the search results and select Run as Administrator.

    • Type netsh winsock reset in the Command Prompt window and press
      Enter. Wait for Windows to finish resetting your Winsock configuration.

    • Reboot your computer.
    Step 2: I suggest you to refer to the below thread replied by
    jtelliott94 on March 25, 2015 and check if it helps.
