Windows 10: reconnecting HDMI doesn't remember my windows positions from before

Discus and support reconnecting HDMI doesn't remember my windows positions from before in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; Hi,I have set up windows to display on my multiple monitor setup and when I re-connect HDMI, I don't see the windows moving to positions from before...     reconnecting HDMI doesn't remember my windows positions from before


    Hi,I have set up windows to display on my multiple monitor setup and when I re-connect HDMI, I don't see the windows moving to positions from before disconnecting the HDMI. In other words, after disconnecting HDMI they all move to the laptop screen and don't go back to the attached displays after reconnecting the HDMI.

    Windows doesn`t start. Authomatic repair doesn`t work.

    I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

    I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

    Nice if Start screen "remembered" its position

    This is not really a problem to be solved now, but a suggestion to Microsoft for a future update or version of Windows.

    It would be nice if the Start screen remembered its position. For example, if I open the Start screen and scroll down to those applications that start with the letter "W", the next time I open the Start screen, it reverts back to displaying the top of the
    list. It would be nice if it "remembered" I was on "W" and opened at that position.

    Remembering Window Position

    I have Windows 11 and cannot save window position and size after shutdown. It will remember when it's opened/closed during the day without shutdown. After re-starting it will open to a fixed prior position, but not the last one prior to shutdown. I have tried all recommended actions on line, tweaking the bagMRU registry setting, "restore previous folder windows at logon" from Folder Options, etc., nothing seems to work. Anyone have suggestions on how to do this so I don't have to adjust window position after startup? Thanks for all suggestions. |
