Windows 10: reboot time is 2 minutes on ssd

lenovo laptop ideapad 3 ryzen cpu 16gb ram tried booting in safemode which boot up my computer faster and disabled fast boot or start or whatever its called and the issue persisted

Windows 10 taking almost 10 minutes to boot (with SSD)  

No! Shutdown is pretty much normal regarding timings, which also is confirmed when I shutdown and power on, very normal timings.

This 7-1/2 minutes is being spent on windows loading screen + spinning circle, as already stated, but only if a reboot is requested. Normal power on is not taking this timing anymore (after following @TairikuOkami suggestion of uninstalling SAT/AHCI Controller).




This takes ~8 minutes to finish...

To sum up, I could live without rebooting the computer, triggering a shutdown+power on instead. But this is not right... There is no reason for the reboot to take this amount of time...

 

Windows 10 (sometimes) goes to sleep after only 2 minutes of inactivity

Hello Mark,

Your screensaver might be one of the possible reasons why your computer goes to sleep every time the computer is inactive. It is possible that the idle time is set every 2 minutes. Having said that, you can try adjusting the waiting time by following the
steps below and see if it makes any difference:

• Go to Control Panel, click on Appearance and Personalization.
• Select Personalization.
  
• Click on Screen Saver at the bottom right.
• Adjust the waiting time and hit Apply.

If the issue persists, we recommend trying the suggestions posted by Aleksandr 10 in this
thread. Most of the Community users found his suggestions
helpful.

Extremely slow reboot times with SSD

First off, this problem only occurs during a reboot, when I do a shutdown and turn the computer back on, it boots like normal.

I have been dealing with this issue for so long now while trying to fix it on my own, I cannot remember when exactly it started or what happened just before I started noticing the issue. I have an MSI laptop with 2 128 GB SSDs in RAID 0 and a 1 TB HDD.
My OS is on installed on the SSD along with some programs that require speedy access to files. My laptop has 12 GB of RAM and an Intel i7-4720HQ CPU.

Whenever I try to do a reboot, typically after updating, installing something big or doing a driver update, I end up sitting around with the MSI logo on my screen for several minutes. The disk access LED stays solid during the entire time the system is
hanging. After those several minutes it seems to go back to normal with a flashing LED and a couple more spins of the progress ring. During the waiting period, the progress ring continues to spin. From start to finish, my boot time is about 9 minutes on
an SSD, it used to be a handful of seconds.

I have done several instances of performance recording on the boot setting, but I can't make heads or tails of what is going on in the computer. If someone would offer some advice or want to take a look at the trace file, I will happily share a link of
it.

I really do not wish to reinstall windows from scratch, so that is (needless to say) a final resort.
