Windows 10: REALTEK ACHOUSTIC ECHO CANCELLATION NOT WORKING

So today suddenly discord started to pick up my device audio while AEC was on.I updated the drivers rebooted the pc after every setting change, but the problem persists it happened suddenly today. I did not change any settings prior to this problem. How can I fix this issue?Earlier this problem got solved after turning on AEC but now turning on/off AEC doesn't do anything.

Hello, i've just got a new headphone logitech g335. and i wanted to use its microphone. but when i use it, i figured out that this mic get windows sounds aswell so i clicked the realtek's acoustic echo cancellation button. but seems like it doesn't worked at all.

i tried to update realtek but it's still the same.

Or a simpler explanation is that acoustic echo cancelation only works in stereo mode, not 5.1. Leave the spatial audio out of the equation all together.

Acoustic echo cancellation doesn't do whatever you want it to do. AEC is for cancelling sounds from computer speakers. You have a logitech g335, a closed back headphone. It doesn't bleed sound into your mic.

You are unclear on what windows sounds your headset mic is picking up. Does it pick up your spotify music?

Whatever your problem is --- is going to be 1 of the following:

1) you enabled stereo mix

2) you enabled "listen to this device"

3) you use some sort of virtual audio cable, discord, obs... and you are routing your computer sound into your mic channel.
