    I've had this problem for a couple of months where my Lan driver is very unstable and or wont use the 5gh it says it's connected to. I looked in the device manager to see if I could change the band width it prefers, but all I see is 2.4gh single channel, and no preference. even then its still astronomically slow with it only reaching ranges of 70 mb/s all the way down to 30 kb/s. if anyone can tell me how to fix this since I've tried resetting my cache and ip with it and its not working.

    Realtek 8821CE Wireless LAN 802.11ac PCI-E NIC 5-10X Slower on Windows 11 vs Ubuntu Linux (same machine)

    I have a Realtek 8821CE Wireless LAN 802.11ac PCI-E NIC as my wireless adapter for my PC, but recently I've been experiencing significant slowdown (5-10X) running in Windows 11 vs running Ubuntu Linux.

    What I've tried:
    - Updating the driver via Device Manager
    - Uninstalling all Network adapters and reinstalling them through device manager
    - Installing the driver directly from Realtek

    How to add Preferred Band?

    Preferred band is missing in the Advanced Settings of my WiFi adapter. Realtek 8821CE Wireless LAN 802.11ac PCI-E NIC

    Please don't send instructions to check for the Preferred Band. It is not there.

    I've already scoured the internet and it seems that everyone has the same answers with no solution.

    Is there anyone out there that knows the answer to this? Is it my card? Is there a deep setting somewhere in Windows 11 to fix this?

    I am not having any problems connecting to 5ghz or 2.4ghz with the Realtek 8821CE Wireless LAN 802.11ac PCI-E NIC

    The problem is I want to stop the Realtek adapter from connecting to 2.4ghz.

    The reason I need to stop the Realtek adapter from connecting to 2.4ghz is that I am using my phone as a hotspot for my computer with my phone set to 5ghz only. I am using a second adapter that only works on 2.4ghz to connect to a printer that is only 2.4ghz.

    Again, I need to stop this card from connecting to 2.4ghz.
