Windows 10: realigning monitor screen

I switched from my lapton screen to a monitor. The trouble is my icons are partially off the screen. How do I adjust?

Desktop icons realigning

My desktop icons are realigning to the left side of the screen when I stay signed on and sign back on after another user has been signed on. Is this a known bug in Windsows 10?
