  2. Windows 10 Stuck on Repair, getting random shutdown.

We just want to verify a few things about the issue you're having with the issue that's going on on your PC. Please provide answers to the questions below:

    • Can you tell us what were the troubleshooting steps that you have done so far?
    • About the random shutdown, is this concern happening prior to the update?

    We'll wait for your reply.

    Random shutdowns

The original post by jacpeddler was not a "boot-into-black" as Nachappa C K misunderstands the question.
The question was a SHUTDOWN, NOT A BOOT TO BLACK. A "random shutdown", is a bit of a DIFFERNENCE, YOU THINK? And one NOT as clearly related to a GPU, which the above link incorrectly directs..

I too am having a "Random complete shutdown" after installing Windows 10 on top of 7.1. It is not a "Black-Screen after upgrading to Win10" issue. My problem is at any time and in any program (mostly Adobe Creative Cloud Applications) a shut down can occur
as soon as a program is started or an hour into a project. There is no pattern and no causal relationship to any reproducible event.

I have updated all drivers, including my GPU (Nvidia Quadro FX 3800). Chipset (ASUS P6T-V2 Deluxe w/12 GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 triple channel 1800 RAM) I do have the MB Overclocked from 3.02 to 4.2 GHZ- on a Intel I7-950 CPU). I had no such shut down problems
    with Win 7.1.

The problem is annoying forcing my to save work more often (just as well) but it is clearly a conflict and clearly related to Windows 10, and is in the long run unacceptable. Any suggestions will be tried--note I am not a "MS Windows Tech Expert". I know
my way around the system and registry but any help needs to be in English; with just a smattering of lingo.

    Thanks in Advance

After waiting about 10 minutes, it did the random shutdown again. Powered it back on and checked, no minidump folder
