  1. Random "soft" system crash when quitting games

Every time i quit a game, i get a soft system crash during which all apps freeze and the power/restart remains unresponsive. The only way to restart is to manually shut down the PC. The time it takes to crash after closing a game varies, but often shows GPU usage at -1%. I haven't encountered the crash without exiting a game. I have tried SFC scan, which game up short, turning on and off UEFI option in bios and tried making a new user on my PC, but the problem still persists.CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700XGPU: Nvidia RTX 2060 superMotherboard: MSI MAG B550M MORTAR WIFI MS-7C94Operating System: Window

    all games crash!

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

  3. all games crash!

ive watch my temps and both the cpu and gpu are within normal ranges. when it freezes it simply freezes the image and stops the sound. i must reboot to get back to windows.

    Hello,

Please, complete your System Specs so we may better help you. I didn't see a PSU listed there.

A software conflict is also a possible cause of the random crash you're experiencing when playing games. To determine if an installed program is causing the crashes, I suggest performing a clean boot.

Be sure to check you're running the newer GPU driver, and your Graphics card settings are correct.

Check Device Manager for driver conflicts.

    Hope this helps.
