Windows 10: Random Ethernet Disconnected | e1dexpress - id 27

hi all For a few days I've been trying to solve a problem: The ethernet connection disconnects for a few seconds for no apparent reason. windows 10 21h1 (19043.1083) I have already tried to: - uninstall and update the network card drivers with those present on the motherboard manufacturer's website (msi z390 gaming plus) - I have disabled the power saving options from the advanced options of the network card - ipv6 deselected from the connection properties of the network card - static ip and opendns set - reset from cmd ipconfig /release --- ipconfig /flushdns --- ipconfig /renew --- netsh int ip reset --- netsh winsock reset .... i have update windows from 20H2 to 21H1 with inplace upgrade in case is relevant to troubleshooting any suggestion will be very helpfull

PC disconnecting from internet every ~5 minutes? [e1dexpress - ID27]


Hello. After I updated my computer to Windows 10 Pro 64-bit from Win8.1 this has started to happen. Every ~5 minutes my PC disconnects from internet for a second (long enough to have red cross appear on taskbar / cause freezing in games). Then it regains connection.

Event viewer states the following:
General: Intel(R) Ethernet Connection (2) I218-V - Network link is disconnected.
Source: e1dexpress
Event ID: 27
Level: Warning
User: N/A

My computer specs:
ASUS Z97-AR (with Intel(R) Ethernet Connection (2) I218-V)
Windows 10 Pro (64-bit)
ZyXEL P-661HNU-DI-FI router (using wired - computer has no WLAN)

I've tried installing newest drivers from Intel, older W10 drivers from ASUS and deleting the drivers. Nothing helped.

Thank you for keeping us posted on the status of the issue.

I suggest you to check if rolling back the Ethernet driver helps to resolve the issue. Follow the below steps.

• First of all, Press Windows logo + R from keyboard. It will open
  RUN.
• Now type devmgmt.msc and press Enter to open Device Manager.
• You will see all the device list of your PC. Expand Network Adapters

Rollback driver

Double click on your Ethernet driver in Device Manager. Then Click on
Driver tab and select Rollback.

Important: If your drive is performing well and there is no error, Rollback driver button will be grayed out as an option.

If it still does not help, I suggest you to reinstall the drivers for the Ethernet driver and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

Note: Once you uninstall the drivers the Ethernet adapter device will be disabled and you won’t be able to connect to internet. So it is advisable to keep all the installer files as a back up in your hard drive.

e1rexpress network link is disconnected Event id 27

Hey guys,

been getting random disconnects that last about a second...but long enough to mess up my loading of sites or my online gaming.

things that might help you troubleshoot:
- pc is relatively new, switched to ryzen 7 around christmas of 2017
- mobo is Asus Crosshair VI Hero
- driver is up to date (even tried updating it with driver booster) (couldnt manually find the driver on the asus website...i guess they dont do that anymore - also couldnt find it on the intel website)
- using the onboard nic: Intel(R) I211 Gigabit
- win 10 is fully updated
- all drivers are working fine (no conflicts)
- even tried cleaning the leads off the cable and port





was wondering if any1 might know how i can fix this?

please help.
