    Hello everyone,I am facing a weird issue in my RDP session. We have 2 computers, out of those, on 1 Windows 11 PC, we have enabled RDP and from another Windows 11 PC, we are accessing RDP session of first PC. It was working fine before some days. But from last week we are facing an issue on RDP client computer. When RDP session is connected and when we type anything in RDP session, random characters are typed. We also tried to changed the keyboard but we found that this issue occurs only in RDP session, not on local windows PC. After it, we tried to connect RDP from another Windows 11 client P

    RDP session appears to be hanging up

    I have a workstation that auto updated from Windows 10 to Windows 11.

    I RDP into a Windows 2019 server daily.

    As I am using the RDP session, several times a day things will become unresponsive. This ranges from the operating system not recognizing when I press the windows key to not being able to click on anything within my programs.

    If I close the RDP session then reconnect, I am able to return to using my programs. Simple things like pressing the Windows Key work again to open the start menu.

    My assumption is this is with the RDP system since if I close the session and connect a new one, things work again. The server OS is still functioning and my programs are still running.

    Note: these computers are not part of a domain. I am using a simple Windows workgroup to network these two computers.

    Any ideas or suggestions on where to look for the hangup? Could it be an incompatibility between the RDP client of Windows 11 and the Windows Server 2019 OS?

    Why are the RDP Sessions failing randomly?

    A user of mine has had persistent connection issues with RDP sessions over a VPN. Here is some info/context for the situation:

    -User has Windows 10 Pro.

    -Uses OpenVPN as a VPN method.

    -Both TCP and UDP are enabled for RDP connection on the traditional RDP port.

    -They are connected via Wi-Fi to their router; internet speeds seem to be pretty good after several tests.

    -I've had them connect to other devices on the network and they experience the same issue.

    -They've been utilizing the same VPN for a long time now, other users also do not experience this issue while using RDP from a VPN. (They also use OpenVPN)

    Problem at hand:

    On random days, the user will get repeatedly disconnected from RDP sessions. They will have access for a minute, then get disconnected. They will be met with the "The connection has been lost. Attempting to reconnect your session..." message, but it seems to always fail. They've also gotten a message saying: "Your connection quality is good and UDP is enabled". But disconnects still persist.

    Should I disable UDP and force them to strictly use TCP? Please let me know if you have any solutions in mind or need more info.

    I have a video wall with 10 screens and I am using windows 10 enterprise, I can't span an RDP session to another screen it seems to be locked to the main screen
