It started about a week ago - completely random - happens every day - 2/3 times a day - sometimes restarts with a different desktop - no personal folders - checked update history (none since 13th july

when you start the computer up press F8 repeatedly until you get a list of how to start windows, choose do not automatically restart on system failure. if your getting bsod's list what your getting here so we can further help you. IF the system is not getting bsod's and still restarting as you say then i would look into getting a line conditioner for your computer as you might be having power issues.

 

2 bsods a couple of days in between after many sudden restarts

I deleted the application that was giving me a BSOD and that seems fine. but now im having the random restarts again. I attempted to load up helldivers 2 and it restarted. i didnt get any minidump file it only gives me a critical error in event viewer. it will do this with days in between each, i haven't had one in a couple weeks now.
