    RAM error


    PC posts but there is no display, not even HP logo.There is 3 long beeps then 2 short beeps.The RAM is seated correctly.The slots are clean and function with the old RAM.How can i fix this?HP Pavillion 590 p0032na

    That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

    At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

    To RAM or not to RAM...

    Hey genesis what hardware have you bought, you might be able to save on the ram and step up the rest of the hardware a little...

    Or you could go out on the town as suggested... *Big Grin RAM error :D

    Both ram sticks return errors in memtest, pls help: I was having BSOD so I came to this forum and got help, ran a ton of tests and all the results pointed to one of my ram sticks being faulty. So I tested with memtest to try see which of my sticks were faulty to see which to take out and replace but both of them return errors....
