Windows 10: Quick Access toolbar in windows explorer is no longer there. None of the suggested...

Since an abortive Windows 11 update a few weeks ago left my system unstable and I had to roll back the Quick Access toolbar has completely gone. Attempts to pin items to the tool bar just leave an error message "A disk error occurred during read operation"- no matter what file or folder I try to pin. Dragging and dropping doesnt work either and all my old pins have gone.I've tried every single version of the suggestions I've found on line either here or on youtube etc which show easy solutions to this through the explorer Options dialogue. None of them have had any useful effect.It is extrem

Quick Access is a new feature in Windows 10 File Explorer navigation pane which helps users quickly navigate to locations which are frequently used. However, if you're having issues with Quick Access, you can try to disable and enable it. To disable Quick
Access, follow these steps:

• Type File Explorer Option in the search box.
• Click on File Explorer Options.
• Under General tab, choose This PC in the Open File Explorer to: drop down menu.
  
• Uncheck Show recently used files in Quick access and
  Show frequently use folders in Quick access.
• Click Apply an OK.
• Restart the computer and re-enable Quick access.

Windows 11 Explorer - Quick Access **Toolbar** Gone - How To Restore It?

Random forced undesired upgrade to Windows 11,.. meh. . Quick Access Toolbar is gone. I've searched, but I don't see where to restore it? Also, how to show/hide the navigation pane? In Windows 10 I added the show/hide to the Quick Access Toolbar so a simple ALT-3 would show or hide it, allowing me to see more of what's in a directory.
