Windows 10: PS3 Controller no longer recognized on pc but works on ps3

Nothing even happened, I just didn't play for a while, and then it gave me an error the next time I used it. It just says "USB configuration descriptor request failed" and the device was stopped because of an error code 43. Should I open it up? It seems to be in good condition. Plugging it in another usb port failed, drivers old af but the newest ones cause its a ps3 controller. Some guy said to edit something in the registry that doesn't exist. My hardware specs are mid but haven't had any problems. no other updates either. can't connect wirelessly either. idk what else to try.

why does my ps3/pc controller not install or configure on my pc after upgrading to windows 10, does windows no longer support plug n play..it used to work ok on windows 7 previous to upgrading??any answers? Thank you!!

I tried connecting my PS3 controller to my pc using motioninjoy and better DS3 tool but I am not able to make my controller work although I could see it listed in 'devices and printers'.I would be very grateful if someone helps me figure this out.Thanks

Thanks for your feedback,According to my understanding, you use ScpToolkit to simulate the PS3 controller as an XBOX controller, and now it cannot work normally.



Since the PS3 controller does not support the use under Windows 10, it may be recognized as anything by Windows.

This may be caused by the fact that the ScpToolkit does not work properly.

You can reinstall the ScpToolkit and reconfigure your controller.

If the problem is not solved, you may need to seek the assistance of the software developer.
