    Protected Memory Access Blocked

My window defender controlled folder access has recently blocked this. Is it a virus trying to access my device memory or a system file? Should I allow this access the memory ?

  2. Clean the Protected Memory Access Block from my protection history

I have followed all steps posted on this platform but cant clean the Protected Memory Access Block from my protection history.

Used the Event view, done the powershell stuff and set it to 1 day since August 30, 2022 and used all the scan options to scan, deleted results fom C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Scans\History but this still show.

What does "Protected folder access blocked" mean?

    Hi Ronaldo

Windows 10 Defender has a new security feature called Controlled Folder Access, that is designed to protect your system against Ransomware attacks

Sometimes it will block an application from accessing your personal folders, if you trust the application in question, you can add it to the list of allowed apps through Controlled Folder Access . . .

    Open Windows Defender Security Center

Go to Virus & threat protection - Virus & threat protection settings

Scroll down to Controlled folder access

From there, you can add an app to the list of safe or allowed apps to prevent them from being blocked

Please do not leave Controlled Folder Access turned off permanently

    "Protected folder access blocked"

    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

    I'm glad to help you.

Windows 10 Defender has a new security feature called Controlled Folder Access, which is designed to protect your system against Ransomware attacks. So the window you described will pop up. It will block an application from accessing your personal folders, if you trust the application in question, you can add it to the list of allowed apps through Controlled Folder Access.

    Open Windows Defender Security Center
Go to Virus & threat protection - Virus & threat protection settings
Scroll down to Controlled folder access.
From there, you can add an app to the list of safe or allowed apps to prevent them from being blocked.
Please do not leave Controlled Folder Access turned off permanently.

If anything is unclear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Best regards
