Windows 10: Problem with missing mfc110.dll file

Someone else already asked this question, about CanQuest energy modeling software showing a missing mfc110.dll file when they try to install. The agent replied with a Visual C++ update that might help. But when I click the link there are three option,
VSU_4\vcredist_x64.exe, [COLOR=rgba51, 51, 51, 1]VSU_4\vcredist_x86.exe, VSU4\vcredist_arm.exe, which one do i need, or do i need all three? [/COLOR]

Problem with missing mfc110.dll file

I am teaching a University class where I use a software program called CAN-QUEST (not a Microsoft program). Due to the pandemic we are doing remote classes, so my students have had to download this software onto their own computers at home. Some (not all)
get an error message that says 'The code executive cannot proceed because mfc110.dll was not found' when trying to launch the program. I have run this program on my desktop computer and my SurfacePro with no problem, but cannot run it on my laptop. From my
internet searches, it looks to me like this is a Windows file that is missing. I have tried to contact the manufacturer of the CAN-QUEST software but they have not been helpful.

There are other posts in the Community about this type of error. I have tried some of the fixes, such as reinstalling the program, making sure that Windows is up-to-date, and running virus scans, etc. There are other suggestions of doing a clean boot and
then some work to troubleshoot, but I am not comfortable asking my students to do this. I would be afraid that they would do something incorrectly and mess up their computers, which right now are absolutely necessary to their studies.

Is there a way to just get the missing dll file? I found a website that offers dll files for download, but it looked super sketchy and I would hesitate to download something like that from an unverified source.

Yes, those DLL download websites are to be avoided, you neve know what code is in the downloaded DLL . . .

Have you already tried installing the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4, that mfc110.dll file is part of that installation

mfc110.dll missing when trying to open one program

I just installed a new program after upgrading to Windows 10 and I am getting the error that mfc110.dll is missing. I have run the sfc scan already and it came back with no issues. I have also gone into my system32 folder and the dll file in question is
in fact there. I have tried to reinstall the program and keep getting the same issue.
