Problem accessing webcal calendar via Windows 11 Calendar app

Hi, have email hosted in Google Workspace and configured access to email. contacts and calendar in the relevant Windows 11 Mail, Contacts and Calendar apps. Have added a webcal to my Google calendar to access Tripcase travel but it is not showing as an option to access under the account in Windows 11 Calendar. I have tried both removing the webcal from Google and re-adding and removing the Google account from Windows and re-adding but no success. The webcal is accessible via Google's web calendar client. Anyone have any ideas?

    :)

    Webcal / Google Calendar sync

I've been using MFE for a good while now, and it does a good job of syncing my Gmail account (including calendar and contacts) to my 5230.

It doesn't sync the "other calendars" in Gmail, but that's been fine until now.

Now I'd like to have another calendar which is linked to a Webcal ics calendar also synced to the phone. I don't use Ovi Suite enough to want to push it through there.

It doesn't seem that gmail will allow me to have a webcal ics calendar shown as one of my "my calendars" on google calendar, so that means it doesn't appear to sync to my phone via the Exchange profile offered by Gmail.

Is there another way of syncing a web-based calendar onto my phone that I don't know about?

    Thanks!

    Webcal / Google Calendar sync

    Hi everybody,

Not sure if I am in the right place but here goes anyway!

Now that My Ovi services no longer support web based (or any other) syncing of phone calendar (and contacts) with a PC, I am looking for an alternative for syncing my Nokia 5230 with a web based calendar, doesn't have to be Google calendar (but this has
    been suggested).

I have seen some post elsewhere where people claim to be able to sync a 5230 with Google calendar but the detailed procedures did not work when I tried it (maybe a different version of phone or operating system).

Does anybody out there have a solution to this problem; would be grateful for any guidance or suggestions.

No so bothered about syncing contacts; I back these up through Nokia PC Suite and that's OK but I use my PC calendar and phone calendar separately and really need them kept in sync via a web based application (just like we used to be able to do with My Ovi).

    Thanks in advance

Problem accessing webcal calendar via Windows 11 Calendar app

How to Backup Windows 10 Calendar App

It's a sorry state of affairs when a website is better and more functional than dedicated software running on your local PC, but unfortunately that's the case with the Windows 10 Mail, Calendar and Contacts apps. You need to go to Outlook.com for more advanced features.

To import a calendar you can go to the Calendar on Outlook.com and then select 'Import' to import ics calendar files.

To export your calendar for backup purposes its a bit trickier, but still possible.

    1) Go to the Calendar on Outlook.com and then select 'Share'.

    2) Then 'Get a link'.

    3) Then 'Create'.

    4) Then copy the link that starts with webcals://. Paste that link into a browser address bar, change the beginning of the URL from webcals:// to https:// then hit enter. The browser will then prompt you to download the ics file and save it.

    5) After you've saved it to your PC, go back into 'Share', find the sharing link that you created and remove permissions again so that the calendar isn't shared anymore.

As a bonus, to export your Contacts from the People App for backup purposes. Go to Contacts on Outlook.com and then select 'Manage'. Then choose one of the two export options. This will allow you to create a backup and save them in csv file format.
