Windows 10: Printer showing as Unknown Device for BESTEASY printer - I do not have drivers!!!!!!

I am absolutely infuriated and need help!I got a new thermal printer called BESTEASY. DID NOT COME WITH DRIVERS. In device manager and control panel, it shows under software devices or "unspecified". I have uninstalled. I have reinstalled. I have tried adding a printer manually. I have restarted. NOTHING WORKS.I have orders and need to print out shipping labels. The driver is NOT AVAILABLE from the printer website or anywhere else, I have to rely on what installs when plugged in. Please reply:

• What is the make and model of your computer?

Follow the steps below and see if it helps:

Method 1:

If your device shows up as Unknown the best way is to just right-click on it and click Update Driver Software. Check if it shows an error message or code. If it does please reply with the error message and error code.

Method 2:

• Go to the Device Manager and expand Printers & Scanners.
• Right click on Unknown Device and select Properties.
• Go to the Driver tab and click Uninstall.
• Restart your system.

Let us know what happens.

If you still face issues, you might have to check the compatibility of your printer and download the drivers from the manufacturer’s website in compatibility mode.

To be sure that you followed my suggestion correctly, I will specify some steps: CP>devices and printers>add a printer>the printer that I want isn't listed>add a local printer with manual settings>define port>Windows update and install

 

Epson Printer Driver - XP driver installed on 10 - device not showing as printer

I inherited an Epson Stylus Pro9600(~2003) and would like to get it working for a local non-profit.

• I downloaded the last driver available from the epson site. It was for Windows XP (64-bit)

• Ran setup in "compatibility" mode for running the older driver and it said the driver was installed correctly.
• Try to print and the new printer is not available to print from.
• Checking in the control panel>hardware> "Devices and Printers" the Epson (showing as 'usb2.0 printer') is in the "unspecified Devices" section rather than the "printers" one.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
