Windows 10: Preventing Game from Launching

Both my Total War Pharaoh games were working until the windows update Oct. 23. One of the threads in my Steam discussions tab suggests uninstalling update KB5045594; this was an update installed on 10/22. I've been playing these games for a few months, now I'm stuck. I have windows 10 and the update was KB5045594 updated on 10/22/24. The update won't let me uninstall it from the control panel.

Games won't launch and run in background.

• What exactly do you mean by games does not run in the background?
• Which are the games you are trying to launch?
• Were you able to see any error code/ error notification while trying to launch the game?
• Have you tried any troubleshooting steps?

I would like to inform that the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable x86,
usually occupy 1 GB of the storage space.

I suggest you to run disk cleanup to free the memory: Free up drive space in Windows 10
and check.

I can't launch games
