Windows 10: Pressing F5 doesn't refresh the screen, I need to press both F5 and Fn for it to work.

I got a new keyboard https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Y3ZS47V?tag=rtings-zz-kb-20&ie=UTF8 and it works great although F5 doesn't seem to work unless I press Fn at the same time. Is there a way to bypass this or am I stuck with this forever?I have tried to find the model of this keyboard but the only think I found was the amazon page.I'm using windows 10.

F5 key behaving as FN + F5

All of my laptop—a Samsung Expert running Windows 10—f[number] keys are behaving now as if I press Fn+f[number] shortcut.

For example, Fn+f5 normally disables touchpad. Then, when I press f5 key to refresh a page, my touchpad is disabled.

This started happening with a few days ago. How to revert this behavior to the normal (f1 working as f1, f2 working as f2 etc…)?

Ummm, that is normal - depending on the function you are doing (assuming I understand what you are saying).

On a notebook, the Fn key is like a shift key that switches in a different set of functions for the F-Keys.

For example, in Windows pressing the F5 key typically refreshes the display. In File Explorer, it will refresh the displayed files. In a browser, it will refresh (reload) the webpage. But pressing Fn + F5 does something different, depending on your notebook. On my Toshiba notebook, if I hold down the Fn key and press F5, it switches the video output of my notebook between the notebook monitor, a connected external monitor, or both.

 

enable touch-pad (FN+F5 key is not working)

I have an old Toshiba Satellite Pro laptop with Windows 8.1, usually when I'm writing i disable the touch-pad by pressing the FN+F5 keys, but recently the F5 key stop working while the touch-pad was disabled. I know is the F5 key the problem after a small
troubleshooting (pressing FN+others F# is still working).

i want to enable again the touch-pad. i have tried using the two on-screen keyboards that came with windows, neither of them is working, also i have tried with externals keyboards on my house but neither of them have the FN key or the F5 key and i don't
want to buy a keyboard just to this only task.... is there any other way to enable the touch-pad?
