  1. Power management greyed out for LAN/network card in device manager.

Hi, I'm using WOL and need to check 2 boxes in power management for the LAN card in device manager. These are "Allow this device to wake the computer" and "Only allow a magic packet to wake the computer", but for some reason these options are greyed out most of the time. When they are available and i check these 2 boxes, its goes back to unchecked after a restart.I know that i have the right driver is installed since WOL is working, but my computer wakes up from sleep if i dont check the box "Only allow a magic packet to wake the computer". This wasn't an issue before i did a clean install of

    :)

  3. WiFi card shown in Device manager but not in Network & sharing center

    Hi Budd,

We suggest that you update the drivers and check if it works.

Follow the steps below to update the Wireless Adapter's driver:

    • Press Windows key+X.
    • Select Device Manager.
    • Right-click on the Network Driver (802.11n Wireless Card).
    • Click on the Driver tab.
    • Select Update Driver.
If the update went successful, please reboot the computer to take effect the changes.

    Let us know the result.

Power management greyed out for LAN/network card in device manager.

Wireless adapter not found in Device Manager

I ran the Lenovo Solution Center. Network Adapter was not listed in the hardware scanned. Not sure if there is a separate listing for that normally or not.

Ever since I ran a power cycle the adapter has not appeared in the Device Manager.

Does anyone believe removing the adapter and putting it back would solve the issue? I would rather not open my computer if there is little chance of it solving the issue. I am a complete novice doing this.

Not sure if this is relevant but in my Network Adapter in Device Manager there was "Microsoft Kernel Debug Network Adapter". It has since disappeared.
