Windows 10: Possible To Still Buy Windows 10 Pro?

Hi all, I'm currently running Windows 10 Pro on multiple PC's at my home and I'm really happy with it.I want to build a new PC Tower and I want to install Windows 10 Pro on it, however, I don't know where to buy Windows 10 Pro? I only see Windows 11 available.Also, I received some advice from a Microsoft team member via the "Support Chat" on microsoft.com but I don't know how to access the transcript so I can read the advice I was given instead of giving Microsoft problems by asking for help from a team member again.Thank you.

Can't upgrade from Windows 10 Home to Pro

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community. We apologize for the inconvenience caused and will assist you in the best possible ways.

I suggest you to download and create an installation media for Windows 10 Pro form the link provided below:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/software-download/windows10

After the installation media is created, suggest you to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro from the installation media. When the upgrade asks for product key, enter the product key purchased for Windows 10 Pro. If it does not accept, suggest you to skip the activation
step. After the Operating System is installed, suggest you to activate by phone by following the steps below:

• Press “Windows key + R” and type “slui 4” and press Enter.
• Select the Region from the list and click Next.
• Call the Toll-Free number provided on top and can activate via phone.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Is it possible to uprade Home 7 or 8.1 Core to 10 Pro?


Hello! We all know that any version less than Pro will be upgraded to Windows 10 Home. That is Windows 7 Starter, Windows 7 Home Basic, Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 8 Core will all be upgraded to Windows 10 Home. If later someone wants Windows 10 Pro he/she can do it from the Windows Store by paying and upgrading Windows 10 Home to 10 Pro. The question is if we can avoid this two-step upgrade and make it an one step upgrade. Is it possible to buy a Pro license and use an ISO or DVD to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro directly? Once I tried to upgrade a Windows 8.1 Core system using a DVD, but I wasn't offered any choice, it was upgraded to Windows 10 Home. Of course we can always upgrade 8.1 Core to 8.1 Pro (and 7 to Professional or Ultimate) and then upgrade to Windows 10 Pro, but this is again a two-step procedure. Any workaround?
