    Pin is no longer available after reset


    Hey, I reset my PC and made it so that it would clear everything, including data, and once I did that, I wasn’t able to log back in because my "Pin is no longer available due to a change to the security settings on this device." I try to set up my pin, but it will tell me "that the User Profile Servirce service failed the sign-in, User profile cannot be loaded." . I tried doing the shift + restart method to see if I could go to the command prompt to change my pin, but I couldn't do so because it asked me to choose an account, and once I put in my password for the Microsoft account, it didn’t w

    Do you see a link for Sign In Options at the bottom of the Sign-in Screen. Choose that and select the key or password choice, use password to sign in.

    Pin no longer available

    Hi I tried to log into my laptop today and it said PIN no longer available. I do not have a password for my laptop so i have no way of logging in. When i try to reset/restore windows it asks for password. Is there a way i can log into my computer??

    I have a different version of the PIN issue... Brand new Pro6. i setup facial recognition... activated office... accepted some kind of update... seems normal for a brand new machine....

    next day... turn on asks for a PIN... but then tells me my PIN is no longer working... Facial and PW do not work,,, there are no restore points to go back to... have done the hard reset and soft reset trying to get back to the original version of W10...
    no luck... no backup... nomability to restore on my new surface 6... love the device... looking for an adult beverage after several hours reviewing hundreds of posts...

    any suggestions?
