Windows 10: Phone link screen mirroring not working

I have recently purchased a HP Omnibook Ultra 14, and all the phone link features are working correctly. However, the screen mirroring and applications doesn't work. My Samsung Galaxy S24+ has been paired with a thinkbook 15 in the past and it had no problem with all the features. Error code 256 as attached belowThank you guys!

• Battery Saver is turned off
  
• Airplane mode is turned off
  
• I am signed in using Microsoft account for both devices.
  
• Battery Optimization is turned off
  
• PC is connected on the internet.
  
• Shared Experiences is working propertly.
  

Upon exploring this problem Sumit, I have downloaded a similar app called KDE Connect. It seems like I am still experiencing the same difficulties.

Now I am doubting if my phone is really connected on the same network or there are problems with my router as I am now exploring my router's settings.

but as you can see, I can still control my phone using the phone link, I just cant seem to have the screen mirroring to work which is supposed to be the most useful feature of the app.

Do you have any more ideas on how can I resolve this Sumit?

There is a way for you to control the remote screen whenever you are trying to mirror it from one device to another. To provide you an appropriate solution, please provide us the following information:

• Which device are you using to mirror on your laptop?
• Are you using an app to mirror the device on your laptop?
• Are you able to use your mouse and keyboard on your laptop even if you are not playing a game while mirroring it from a device?

If you haven't tried to use your mouse outside a game while projecting to the PC, you may follow the steps below to allow your mouse and keyboard to control the remote screen:

• Open Action Center.
• Click the Connect button.
  
• Click the name of the device you're trying to project.
  
• Check the Allow input from a keyboard or mouse connected to this display
  option as necessary.

 

Your Phone doesn't work for screen mirroring & phone calls.

Phone: Galaxy S10e

OS: Windows 10 1909, latest updates applied

When I try to do screen mirroring, I give permission on the phone but nothing happens in the app. It just doesn't work.

For phone calls, I can't set up the connection. I followed the troubleshooting steps and everything pairs up with Bluetooth and accepted the permissions but it won't connect in the app. Even when it was connected, I could dial out for a phone call, but audio
would not route to the PC.

Also I should point out that the Phone Companion app doesn't appear on the Android app list anymore. There is no UI, is this by design?
