Windows 10: Phone link app has no sound

My app has no sound. I have tried all the suggestions posted online both for my phone and for the app / pc. there is no problem here. The toggle allowing sound to be turned on and off as stated in many posts Settings > Apps > Computer > Hear audio from drop menu. Is not there?I have checked all the app settings on my PC and they are all as they should be and all the sound settings and permissions are correct.Apart from the sound the app works perfectly.Is the app faulty?I am using Windows 10 Pro & Android version 12 on a Galaxy S10+Thank you

Phone Link sound to Phone's headset

I apologize for misunderstanding your question. In order to use Phone Link as a number dialer without redirecting the sound to your computer speakers, you can try the following steps:

Connect your phone to your computer via USB cable.

Open Phone Link and click on the "Settings" icon.

Under the "General" tab, select your phone from the list of connected devices.

Under the "Audio" tab, make sure the "Audio redirection" option is unchecked. This will prevent Phone Link from redirecting the sound from your phone to your computer speakers.

Click "Save" to apply the changes.

Use Phone Link to dial the number on your phone by entering it into the dialer on the Phone Link interface.

This should allow you to use Phone Link as a number dialer without redirecting the sound to your computer. Note that you will need to keep your phone connected to your computer via USB for this to work

Supported phones for Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview Mobile

Your list confirms my phone is eligible, Lumia 521. The windows Insider App fails after ~ 15 seconds, restores data and gives me error 80073cf9. I trouble shot this and went thru all the steps mentioned on several websites including MS without any luck. Short of a hard reset, this is where I am now. Suggestions appreciated.
