    PC takes 5 minutes to boot up


    Hello, My PC takes 5 minutes to boot up. When I turn my PC on the motherboard and fans start but nothing shows on the screen for 5 minutes. After this the MSI motherboard sign shows and within 5 seconds it loads up. I have tried doing a clean boot this has not helped. I have also got fast boot turned on which is clearly not very fast and I have also cleared any unnessesary waste files. I have only had this PC for 2 months so it is fairly new and I am not using any HDD. Operating system: Windows 11 ProMemory: 64gb RamStorage:2tb for files500gb for windows

    • If you have an identical laptop try comparing the wifi and security settings of the one that does not disconnect with the one that does. If you find any differences change the settings of the one that does not work to the one that does.

    Need Serious Help: How To Record Video of What is Done on my PC?

    I suggest the following simple steps:

    1. Set the autosave options in MS Office to a low value say 5 minutes.
    2. Setup file history to autosave frequently - the shortest period is 5 mins
    3. Install Macrium Reflect Free and configure it to do a daily incremental system backup

    You should be well covered if you do the above to protect your key files.

    Hi, I did those 5 steps and no luck. There is not much going on at startup. I reformatted my computer 5 days ago. Even after I installed windows, I didn't download anything and just rebooted and it took 8 minutes.
