3. How to solve the kernal power error 41

    Hi, Arghy Ghoshal.

    Welcome to Microsoft support community.

We noticed you are having problem with the computer suddenly power off, am I correct?

The problem is pretty complex and might have many causes. A lot of computers not normally shutdown problem can have this kind or error report.

You see the system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first" could referring to the official article: Event ID 41 The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first - Windows Client | Microsoft Learn.

    ------------

Generally speaking, this is a general indicator generate by Windows system to remind you the computer have an abnormal shutdown: system application crash, suddenly electric loss, power supply failure and so on.

    • Regarding to the troubleshoot, it depends on if you get the EventData include Bugcheckcode like below:

<EventData> <Data Name="BugcheckCode">0</Data> <Data Name="BugcheckParameter1">0x0</Data> <Data Name="BugcheckParameter2">0x0</Data> <Data Name="BugcheckParameter3">0x0</Data> <Data Name="BugcheckParameter4">0x0</Data> <Data Name="SleepInProgress">0</Data> <Data Name="PowerButtonTimestamp">131728546170882432</Data> <Data Name="BootAppStatus">0</Data></EventData> From: Event ID 41 BugcheckCode eample | Microsoft Learn

In your case the data section is empty, may I ask if you are provide the full data?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For your question, I have below insights:

    • Is this a recent issue, what is the case when you facing this issue randomly or after doing some operation?
    • Are you using a laptop on desktop, the power problem of these device are pretty different to handle?
    • Any power problem before, like laptop suddenly cannot charge.
    • For the problem: If you can find the Bugcheck code, that mean system has left useful information before shutdown, otherwise it means system does not get a chance to write the last clue to disk (Suddenly power failure or power unit remove for example). So, we need to know if you have any update.

While above information might not solve your problem instantly, I hope at least it will help you; feel free to keep the situation updated so we could continue investigation. Looking forward about your reply.

Pc shut down randomly with no error message

Sounds like you might have bad RAM. Have you run it through Memtest86? If your RAM checks out, check that your CPU is not overheating. If that is ok, then it will most likely be your power supply. Follow these steps in this order and let me know what you find. Thanks!
