Windows 10: PC Automatically wakes up from sleep. MoNotificationUx.exe seems to be the culprit

Hello,I noticed my PC is waking up from sleep automatically. When checked I found that MoNotificationUx.exe is the reason for this. How do I disable this, and I would like to know the purpose of this process in my windows 11 pc.This is what I am getting in my CMD.C:\Windows\System32>powercfg/lastwake Wake History Count - 1 Wake History [0] Wake Source Count - 1 Wake Source [0] Type: Wake Timer Owner: [PROCESS] \Device\HarddiskVolume3\Windows\UUS\Packages\Preview\amd64\MoNotificationUx.exe C:\Windows\System32>powercfg/waketimers There are no active wake timers in the system.

PC waking up automatically from sleep mode

I understand that the PC is waking from sleep mode as soon as you set it for sleep mode.



I appreciate your efforts in trying to find out that the issue is due to the wireless mouse and keyboard you are using.

1. Are you aware of any changes made to the PC prior to which you weren’t facing this issue?
2. Which build version of Windows 10 are you using currently?

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to check the power management tab for the driver and see if that helps.

1. Press Windows key + R. This will open Run. Alternatively, you can go to Start and search for ‘Run’.
2. In Run dialog box, type ‘devmgmt.msc’ and hit enter.
3. Expand the Keyboard and Mouse drivers.
4. Double-click on the drivers and click on Power Management tab.
5. Un-check the box next to Allow this device to wake the computer.
6. Click on OK and close the device manager.

Try putting the PC to sleep mode and then check if the PC is waking up automatically.

PC wakes up automatically from Sleep mode

My name is Mohammed Shuaib, an Independent Advisor and I'm here to assist you with the issue of PC wakes up automatically from Sleep mode. Please follow the below to fix the issue.

Fix #1

Step 1:

Go to the search box next to the windows icon and type Edit Power Plan

Step 2:

Then click on Change advanced power settings

Step 3:

Expand Sleep and then expand Allow wake timers

Step 4:

Set Disabled for both On battery and Plugged in.

Step 5:

Click/tap on Apply and then press OK.

Step 6:

Restart the PC
