Windows 10: Password trying to type itself

Hey all, just ran into an odd problem with my PC. It was asleep a ago, but I came back to where it was to see the “Password Incorrect, Try Again” or whatever it says screen. I clicked the “OK”, confused, and then the password box started filling itself. Every time I pressed “OK” it would do that. But then after it went into the “Too many attempts, solve this challenge” menu, it stopped trying to fill itself. Scared of my computer being infected, I turned it off via the power button and am now scared that if by some means I do have an infection, logging in will let it in also. Please helpOthe

To which "this" are you referring?
- If you are following the tutorial Bree suggested in the very first reply to your question then what you need to do at each step is explained in detail. So which step are you at?
- If you are following a different procedure then state what it is and which step you are at. If, for example, you are trying to manually enable the Built-In Admin as suggested in post #11 then that account has no password.

why doesn't my bitlocker make me type a password?

Please follow these steps and check if that helps.

Method 1: I suggest you to start the BitLocker Device Encryption service.

Follow the below steps:

1. Press Windows key + R from the Keyboard.

2. Type services.msc and hit Enter.

3. Search for BitLocker Device Encryption service.

4. Double click on BitLocker Device Encryption service and click on Start button.

5. Click on the dropdown list and set the Startup type to Automatic.

If the issue persists then change the password and change the settings on how drive is unlocked at startup.

Cannot type password into Windows login screen

To assist you better. I like to know; when you type password, are you able to view the black dots in the password area?



I suggest you to start your computer in safe and check if the same issue persist.

To start your system in safe mode follow the below steps:

• 
  Press and hold Shift key and
  restart your Computer.
  
• 
  Select Troubleshoot.
  
• 
  Select Advance Option.
  
• 
  Select Startup Settings.
  
• 
  Follow the on Screen instruction.
