Windows 10: Paint 3d crashing when trying to make a sticker

Whenever I use the magic select tool and make a sticker, it doesnt show up on the right and then immediately crashes, Ive tried resetting, repairing, uninstalling, literally nothing fixes it, and no other app I know has a cropping option as easy to use as magic select, so unless there are alternatives, Im stuck with an app that continuously crashes.

Custom stickers in Paint 3D don't export to 3D Viewer

I've created a simple object in Paint 3D, and added some custom stickers (.jpegs from my files) to the object, but Paint 3D crashes when I try to save it as a 3D model. When I open the 3D viewer the model appears just as a black silhouette. I've discovered
that if I remove from the object any shapes to which I have added a custom sticker it will export OK. It only crashes if I include shapes to which I have added a custom sticker. Is there any way to resolve this problem?

We understand your concern as you are trying to create a 3D model, in which you have inserted a custom sticker but the app crashed.

In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below.

• What is the Windows 10 version and Build installed? (Type
  winver in Windows search/Run command)
  
• What is the Paint 3D app version currently installed on the PC?
  
• What is the file type that you have selected to save the 3D model?
  
• Did you try with any other random sticker from online?

We reproduced the same and we were able to save the 3D model in Paint 3D app, here are the screenshots.









Meanwhile, we would like you to reset the 3D builder app and check if you are still not able to get the Roll control.

1. Press Windows + I key to launch Windows settings.
2. Click on Apps and select Apps & feature from the left pane.
3. Scroll down and select Paint 3D app on the right pane.
4. Click on Advanced option and then click on Reset.
5. Restart the PC and then launch the Paint 3D app.

Saving Custom stickers created on Paint 3D

I understand that you want to save the custom stickers created Paint 3D by you. However, the feature is as of now not available on Paint 3D.



I appreciate your suggestions as it can be a great feature for people who use Paint 3D to create 3D or 2D masterpieces. So, I suggest you to post a feedback using

feedback hub app on Windows 10 to improve the experience of using Windows.
