    Pace license managing software for iLok installs, but breaks my computer


    I have downloaded the Pace/iLok software and successfully installed it up to the point that a restart is required. As the boot begins, I get the error message that a SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED. Going through every option available, the only one that gets the computer functioning again is to restore to a point before this installation. I have tried several times and each one ends up requiring a "system restore." I have installed before inserting the dongle and after, with the same result. Obviously, there is some kind of conflict, but I cannot figure out where the conflict is happening, because the computer is non-functional after completing the installation.


    Windows 10 Pro, IntelR CoreTM i7-10700K CPU @ 3.80GHz, 16G RAM, 1TB Western Blue SSD. No graphics card or other specialty card.

    Having complications downloading iLok License Manager for Windows 10

    I'm Having complications downloading iLok License Manager for Windows 10. I keep getting the following error message:

    PACE License Support Win64 Error:

    Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly component {837BF1EB-D770-94EB-A01F-C8B3B9A1E18E}. HRESULT: 0x80070422.

    Also the following message pops up after:

    Error 1603 - Fatal Installation.

    Consult Windows Installer Help (MSI.chm) or MSDN for more information...

    Very frustrated and cannot seem to find any solution. Please help!

    Error 1935 and 1603 When installing Ilok License Support Tool

    Here's a list of the services I get, I can't find anything to do with PACE or iLok. I have tried everything I can think of, every suggestion and video relating to this issue I can find on YouTube and google searches. Please has anybody got to this stage

    I can't install Legacy Drivers for PACE iLok without Windows 10 Crashing

    Hi all,

    I've recently upgraded to Windows 10 from my Windows 7 machine and I've run into a major issue when I tried to install Pro Tools 10 onto Windows 10. Pro Tools works hand in hand with PACE's iLok, which holds the licenses for most of the plugins I need to use
    in Pro Tools, but it seems that I have to install a legacy driver for my iLok in order for Pro Tools to successfully read those plugins.

    With that Legacy Driver is a very important file called
    TPkd.sys, and is annoyingly the reason I can't use my plugins anymore. Windows 10 sees this
    TPkd.sys file as a threat and immediately Blue Screens on me if I try rebooting my system after I've installed the Legacy Drivers.

    Is there any way to combat this? I need that TPkd.sys file to read the licenses off of my iLok, but Windows 10 is having none of it. Please let me know if there's a way that I can let Windows 10 bypass this file and not see it as a threat. Or if there's an
    alternative solution.
