Hello, someone already asked the same question BUT did not got answer! Instead of it he eventually got guide to adjust HDR. Nonsense. My Question: will someone finally fix screenshot taking with the system app "scissors" as it is taking exposed images as well as other apps when HDR is on?

    :)

  2. Over-exposure in screenshots and recordings with HDR in Windows 11

    Hi ZB06,

    Welcome post in Microsoft Community.

I'm Mosken, I do apologize for the inconvenience that you're experiencing right now, let me help you sort things out.

According to your description, I knew that you use the HDR function in Windows 11, overexposure when taking screenshots and screen recordings. If my understanding is wrong, please correct me in the reply.

First of all, I checked the relevant information and found that the screen recording software you mentioned does not support HDR screen recording itself, but its deficiencies can be compensated by the settings in the software. Because this forum is aimed at individual users of Windows products, I cannot provide you with further support related to the software, but you can check the relevant information on the official forum of the software.

And about screenshots. Because the screenshot function that comes with the system is only a very basic screenshot and cannot use HDR, it is recommended that you use the screenshot function in the Xbox Gamebar (Open with Win + G).

The above steps are provided based on the information I have learned so far, I wish that will be helpful to you. If your problem still cannot be solved by these steps, please tell me more specific situation in the next reply. I will continue to assist you in solving the problem.

Over-exposure in screenshots and recordings with HDR in Windows 11

Hello, I am inquiring about an issue I can't seem to solve (without turning HDR off all-together, which defeats the purpose of having it even be an option in Windows 11)

In recordings (primarily using OBS) and in screenshots (with snip and sketch) everything appears extremely over-exposed / bright with HDR enabled. This is a big problem for me as I actually, well, want to use the OS normally. I record lots of clips and take many screenshots and I've finally gotten fed up of it and am now looking for a solution. Any help appreciated, thanks

    HDR support for windows 11

Hi Nadeem. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, here to help you.

I would contact LG Support which is included with the monitor purchase for at least the first year, during which they must get it working properly or repair or replace it under warranty.

Try these troubleshooting steps for HDR monitor display in Windows 11:

Report back results for each step so I know what else to suggest.

Feel free to ask back any questions. Based on the results you post back I may have other suggestions if necessary.
