Windows 10: Optional driver caused blue screen of death....

I have a 3 week old HP laptop. I was in the process of typing numbers into an interactive course with my employer, however the number pad would not work. The technical team of my employer went into the the systems settings to advanced options and downloaded an optional driver at approximately 11;05 am EST on Sept 27. 10 seconds after downloading that driver, my Windows 11 crashed and I had the "blue screen of death" I could not reset or do anything. Unfortunately I had to take by new laptop to Geek Squad to reset the OS spending $200 on a 3 week old laptop. Was this a one in a million p
