Windows 10: Open file location opens OneDrive in a browser

Recently, I've noticed that when I right-click on a file and select "Open file location" in File Explorer, Windows does not open it in File Explorer as it used to, but it launches my default browser and opens this folder in the OneDrive Web App. I have no idea how to set it up in such a way that it uses File Explorer instead. The problem specifically concerns these files which are in my OneDrive, but haven't been downloaded to my device yet OneDrive app lets you keep icons of files which are stored online and downloads the file in the background when you try to open it for the first time. To resolve your concern regarding opening local files on OneDrive, follow the steps below:

• Go to
  OneDrive.com.
• Right click on the file that you want to view.
• Click on Download.
• The file will be downloaded, and would normally show up on the bottom part of your browser.
• Click the file, and it would open up using its normal default application.

opening .dds files with gimp

Simply, HOW? I got the DDS plugin but the POS wont open DDS files still. Can someone give me a step-by-step rundown of how to install the DDS plugin for gimp so I know if I'm missing something?

 

"Open file location" opens shortcut location instead of the file location..

I think the title sums up this annoying issue, but I'll elaborate anyway for the sake of clarity:

When I right click on a program in the Start menu and click on "Open file location" it should, by right, open the location of the file, but it never does. It always opens the location of the shortcut instead (For example: C:\Users\*name*\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs or C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Program).

It's really annoying when you have to repeat the process twice for absolutely no reason. I mean, nobody ever wants to open the list of start menu shortcuts!

So, is there a way to bypass this silly unnecessary step, and tell windows to open the actual location of the file/program instead of the shortcut?

Or a setting, or a registry hack?

IIRC Windows did this correctly a few years ago.
